TBR: High Fidelity

John Cusack explores his five worst breakups in the classic comedy, High Fidelity.

The plot is a fun take on the downfalls of relationships. Yes, that sounds impossible doesn't it? So many romantic comedies use cliche and overdone stories that can pay off occasionally but typically come off as cheesy and cringe worthy. High Fidelity, however, crushed it. Through dialogue, both with other characters and toward the audience, Cusack paints a clear picture of his thoughts and feelings. This gives a great look into the character and an opportunity to witness his changes throughout the movie. My favorite part of the film, however, was not John Cusack's performance.

Jack Black was GREAT! Back in the days before voicing a lovable animated panda, he played Barry Judd, a friend/employee of Rob (Cusack). From his first moments on screen we see his unlimited energy and fun personality. Without a doubt, Black is the best part of the movie.

Overall, I really enjoyed this film! Cusack, Black, and an incredible soundtrack put this movie among the greatest rom-coms. If you haven't seen 'High Fidelity', please take two hours to enjoy this incredibly entertaining flick!
